This Solar Structure Design was for a home in the inland San Diego, California area.

The Structure would be on the side of the house, in an area of the property

mostly unused because of the fairly steep terrain slope.

The roof area for the PV panels will be 16' wide by 55' long, and will be orientated due South on a 20º slope . The house is brick construction. The top of the Structure will attach to the house just under the upstairs dormers, then cantilever out another 16' over the side walkway,

the cantilevered section being supported by 4 Post/Roof Trusses.

Sadly for me the Design-Build Project never happened as they decided to reduce

the square footage and roof mount the panels.

The solar panels aren't shown, only the wood structure that would support them.
